Privacy notice
What Milsch keeps about you, why, for how long, and what you can do about it. Short, because there isn’t much.
Who’s responsible
Daniel Bedwell, trading as Milsch, is the data controller for the information described here. Milsch is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. For any question about your information, ring 07308 437786, or text or WhatsApp the same number.
What Milsch collects, and why
When you book or get in touch
Your name, how to reach you, where you are, what’s wrong and when suits. It’s used to reply, to quote and to do the job you’ve asked for. The law calls this taking steps towards, and then carrying out, a contract with you.
When Daniel does a job
A record of the job: what was done, the kit fitted, the settings that matter and what you were charged, so he can support it later. Invoices are kept for six years because tax law says so.
What he sees on your devices
Fixing a computer or a phone can mean seeing what’s on it. Daniel looks only at what he needs to, copies nothing except to back it up or move it for you, and deletes any copy once the job is done. He’s acting for you while he does it, and keeps what he sees to himself.
The signal checker
The postcode you type is sent to Ofcom’s coverage service to look up what’s available there. The answer is kept for 30 days so the next person in the same postcode gets it faster. Nothing about you is kept with it.
Visiting this website
This website doesn't track you. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies. See cookies for everything it keeps on your device.
Who else handles it
Only the services Milsch needs to run, each under its own data protection terms:
- Cloudflare hosts this website, protects the booking form from spam and, if you allow it, counts visits.
- Resend delivers the booking emails to Daniel and the confirmation to you.
- WhatsApp, if you choose to message Daniel there, under Meta’s terms.
Your information is never sold, never shared for marketing, and never used to train anything.
How long it’s kept
- An enquiry that doesn’t become a job: 12 months, then deleted.
- Job records: for as long as Daniel supports the kit, so he can help when it breaks.
- Invoices: six years, as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see what Milsch holds about you, have it corrected, have it deleted where the law allows, or object to how it’s used. Ring, text or WhatsApp Daniel. If you’re not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
